01Padina–Peștera1 525 m · the base
Your gateway to the wild heart of the Carpathians. Set in a remote glacial valley beneath the Bucegi Plateau, it is a landscape of alpine meadows, towering limestone walls and weather that can change the day's plans in an instant. Come here to slow down, explore, and experience the mountains as they truly are.
02Ialomița Cave & monastery20 min walk · blue cross
Ialomița Cave and its ancient monastery mark the entrance to a hidden mountain world. Cold air pours out of the mountain behind the altar; monks still live here, and we visit as neighbours, not as a tour bus.
03Peșterii, Urșilor & Tătarului gorgeshalf day
Beyond the cave, the gorges carve their way through white limestone, where cold air flows between walls shaped by water and time. In spring the walls run with water.
04The ridgered stripe · 2 505 m
Two hours above the base, the Bucegi Plateau opens into a vast alpine landscape: the weathered forms of the Sphinx and Babele, followed by the long, silent trail to Omu Peak at 2 505 m — three hours from the base.
Two hours from the airport gate
We meet you at arrivals
Bucharest OTP airport, name on a card. No transfers to figure out, no rental car needed — every package includes a private transfer.
The road climbs
Motorway, then foothills, then the Moroeni serpentines into Bucegi Natural Park. The last kilometres are gravel — that's how you know it's working.
Boots on by afternoon
Check in, coffee, gear check, and a first short walk to the cave before dinner. Altitude here is gentle — no acclimatisation drama, just cleaner air.
